Northern Derby Concludes Round 26

The 26th round of the professional league wraps up today, Monday, with one of the “classics” between Moghreb Tetouan and Ittihad Tanger in the northern derby, starting at 6 PM at the Saniat Rmel Stadium in Tetouan.
This match is crucial for the Tetouan team, aiming to confirm their recent positive results under the guidance of local coach Jamal El Dridib and to play their last cards in a bid to close the gap on the 14th position currently held by Chabab Soualem.
Moghreb Tetouan enters this encounter buoyed by their qualification for the quarter-finals of the Throne Cup after defeating Wydad de Casablanca 1-0 in the round of 16.
On the other hand, Ittihad Tanger approaches this clash hopeful of distancing themselves further from the relegation zone, sitting in 12th place with 31 points.
The Tanger team has not tasted victory since February 27, having drawn in two matches in the professional league against Mouloudia de Fes and Wydad de Casablanca, and being eliminated in the round of 16 of the Throne Cup by RS Berkane.
