Union Coordination at Nursing Institute Raises Alarm Over Quality Concerns

Union Coordination at Nursing Institute Raises Alarm Over Quality Concerns
A A

The trade unions at the Higher Institute of Nursing and Health Techniques in Rabat and its branch in Kenitra have announced the continuation of their unified coordination efforts. This initiative aims to address the challenges facing healthcare workers while consolidating efforts to defend their rights and professional achievements.

In a recent statement, the unions emphasized that this coordinated framework builds upon previous experiences, underpinned by a common activist agenda and an organizational vision that seeks to strengthen unity among the staff and faculty at the institute. They noted that, as a leading institution in training health professionals, the institute is grappling with several inconsistencies linked to the implementation of the “Bachelor-Master-Doctorate” system, which has, according to the unions, adversely affected the quality of training, work conditions, and professional performance. This situation necessitates a unified approach to advocate for the institution and its components.

The unions outlined that their primary objectives include advocating for the administrative, professional, and social rights of healthcare workers and improving their working conditions to ensure they can perform their duties effectively. They also announced plans to develop a joint demands and action program, the details of which will be unveiled in the coming period.

In addition, the statement called upon all employees and faculty members to unite around this coordinated framework, asserting that solidarity within labor efforts is the most effective way to confront challenges and realize legitimate demands while contributing to the enhancement of the quality of health training and public service delivery.
