The opening session also featured remarks from Karim Hamidouch, the Secretary General of the Moroccan National Commission for Education, Science, and Culture, and Engineer Nasrine Namrouqa, Director General of the Arab Forum for Smart Cities. Both speakers highlighted the potential of leveraging technology and innovation to create more sustainable cities and elevate the quality of urban services.

Expanding Collaborative Efforts

On the sidelines of the forum, Ibn Tofail University signed several memorandums of understanding with various Arab universities and institutions. This initiative aims to broaden collaboration in scientific research, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and develop joint projects focused on smart cities and sustainable construction practices.

This forum marks a significant step towards integrating cutting-edge technology and research in addressing pressing urban issues, thereby paving the way for smarter, more sustainable city designs across the Arab world.
