Weather Forecast for Wednesday in Morocco

Weather Forecast for Thursday in Morocco
A A

As Moroccans brace for another warm day, the General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts heat particularly in the southeastern regions, eastern stretches, and the interior of the southern provinces. Varying weather conditions will characterize the country, with morning and evening fog expected in coastal areas.

Weather Patterns in Morocco

On Wednesday, temperatures are set to rise moderately, with a noticeable heatwave affecting the southeast and regions east of the Atlas Mountains. The country will experience the formation of dense low-lying clouds accompanied by pockets of fog or light drizzle over the Atlantic plains, the Mediterranean coast, and parts of the Souss region.

Potential Thunderstorms and Wind Gusts

In mountainous areas, particularly the Middle Atlas, scattered cumulonimbus clouds may bring localized thunderstorm activity along with rainfall. Residents in southern regions, Tangier, and parts of the eastern area should also prepare for gusty winds and localized dust storms.

Temperature Fluctuations

Nighttime temperatures will dip between 10°C and 15°C in the mountainous zones of the Atlas and Rif, while southern southeastern areas and the southern provinces will see milder readings of 20°C to 25°C. Other regions of the kingdom are expected to register temperatures between 16°C and 20°C. During daytime, slight temperature drops are expected in the southeastern and eastern regions and the southern provinces, while other areas will experience a slight uptick in temperatures.

Coastal Conditions

The sea will remain relatively calm to slightly choppy along the Mediterranean coast. The Strait of Gibraltar may experience mild waves, with similarly calm conditions expected between Agadir and Laayoune, while other coastal areas might see slightly rougher waters.
