The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) is ramping up its organizational efforts across Morocco as it prepares for the upcoming legislative elections in September. Party leaders are making a clear bid to dominate the electoral landscape and lead the next government, emphasizing their ambition for a significant electoral turnaround.
Nationwide Mobilization
PAM’s recent series of organizational meetings extended from the regions of Tinghir to Khmissat, passing through Skhirat-Temara and Salé, where the party introduced several candidates who will represent the party in the upcoming parliamentary elections. This proactive approach signifies the party’s determination to seize electoral opportunities in various regions of the country.
Key Candidates Announced
Mouhdi Ben Saïd, a senior member of the party’s collective leadership, alongside representatives from the national elections committee, has announced key candidates for various districts. Among them are Bouchra El-Wardi, who will contest in the Tiflet-Rammane constituency, and Mohamed Sharourou in Khmissat and Almas. Additionally, Mohamed Hilali will represent PAM in Skhirat-Temara, while Adib Benbrahim is set for the Rabat Shalla district, with Ben Saïd himself announcing his candidacy in the Rabat-Mouhita district.
In the southeastern region, Samir Koudar, head of PAM’s organizational sector, led a meeting in Tinghir, introducing Mohamed Arhami as the party’s candidate for that area. This indicates a strategic investment in southeastern territories, hinting at a broader electoral strategy to unify party efforts across diverse regions.
Ongoing Organizational Dynamics
According to party sources, this organizational momentum will continue in the coming weeks as PAM strives to finalize its list of candidates for the legislative elections. The landscape shows a competitive climate, with political parties engaged in an early struggle to secure advantageous positions as the September elections draw near.
As PAM intensifies its efforts, its leadership appears focused not only on candidate selection but also on establishing a robust framework for electioneering. This dynamic suggests that parties across Morocco are gearing up for an intense political season as they prepare to attract voters ahead of the decisive voting period.
With the early surge in activity, PAM is clearly positioning itself as a formidable contender in the upcoming elections, underscoring the strategic significance of these moves in shaping Morocco’s political future.
