Friday’s Weather Forecast for Morocco

Weather Forecast for Thursday in Morocco
A A

As summer heats up in Morocco, the General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts persistently high temperatures, particularly in the southeastern regions and parts of the vast desert territories. This weather is expected to remain a notable feature of the landscape today, indicating a broader climate pattern that is impacting daily life across the country.

Weather Overview

Today, many areas in Morocco will experience scorching weather. The southeast and the eastern and southern desert provinces will see particularly high temperatures. Regions including the Saïs, the Gharb, the eastern part, the interior areas of Souss, and the plains west of the Atlas Mountains are also projected to feel the heat, albeit slightly less intense.

Coastal Conditions

On the Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines, dense low clouds are expected to form, resulting in foggy conditions and light, sporadic rain in certain areas. This phenomenon highlights how coastal temperatures can diverge significantly from those experienced inland, particularly during the warmer months.

Thunderstorm Risks

The eastern region may witness the development of cumulonimbus clouds, which could lead to isolated thunderstorms, providing a mix of relief and potential hazards. Residents in these regions are advised to stay alert for sudden weather changes, as the combination of heat and storms can present challenges.

Wind Conditions and Dust

Strong gusts of wind are anticipated in several areas, including Tangier, the Mediterranean front, the eastern provinces, and the southern parts of the country. These winds may also cause localized dust lifting, adding another layer of complexity to outdoor conditions. It’s advisable for those engaged in activities in these areas to take necessary precautions against the elements.
