<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 18pt;">The Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency (AMEE) organized the first edition of "Energy Efficiency Day," under the theme: "Regional Plans for Energy Efficiency and Decarbonization (PREED): Horizon 2030," reflecting the acceleration of the energy transition in the Kingdom and reinforcing its commitment to reducing carbon footprints.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 18pt;">This event served as a platform for exchanging insights among various institutional players and experts, highlighting the anticipated measures in the field of energy efficiency within regional action plans towards 2030, in addition to discussing governance, funding, implementation, and monitoring mechanisms, which are key determinants to ensure the effectiveness of these programs and achieve their objectives.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 18pt;">Data presented during this event revealed disparities in energy saving potentials among regions, with expected rates ranging between 10% and 20%, reflecting the varying economic and energy characteristics of each region. Meanwhile, the anticipated reduction in carbon dioxide emissions is expected to reach around 15%, enhancing Morocco's standing among countries striving for a sustainable and balanced energy transition.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 18pt;">However, achieving these goals remains contingent upon mobilizing significant financial investments, estimated at around 48 billion dirhams, posing challenges related to securing funding and directing it effectively towards projects with the greatest impact. This also necessitates strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors and developing innovative mechanisms for green financing, aligning with international shifts in this area.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 18pt;">This initiative comes amid national and international contexts characterized by increasing pressures related to climate change and rising energy demand, making energy efficiency a strategic lever not only for reducing emissions but also for enhancing economic competitiveness and ensuring energy security. In this context, the regional plans (PREED) appear as a practical tool to translate national strategies into tangible territorial policies, considering the specificities of each region and responding to its developmental needs.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 18pt;">Amid the declared ambition and the challenges ahead, the success of this dynamic remains tied to the effectiveness of coordination among different stakeholders and their ability to turn commitments into tangible projects that contribute to achieving the Horizon 2030 objectives.</span></p>
