Lead:
The Higher Council for Education, Training and Scientific Research is set to participate in the 31st International Book and Publishing Fair, organized under the patronage of King Mohammed VI and supervised by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication. Running from May 1 to 10, 2026, in Rabat, this participation aims to enrich public discourse on educational issues while reinforcing the council’s cultural footprint.

A Platform for Educational Dialogue

The council’s engagement in this prestigious fair emphasizes its commitment to fostering an inclusive dialogue surrounding education and research. This initiative aligns with its constitutional mandate to oversee reforms in the educational landscape, operating under the theme “Education in Today’s World.” By creating a vibrant cultural presence, the council seeks to address critical challenges and opportunities within the Moroccan education system.

Interactive Displays and Discussions

At its booth in the national institutions area (Pavilion A, Booth 15), the council will showcase thematic reports and studies addressing strategic issues related to education and research. Visitors will have access to both printed and digital formats of these materials through interactive screens and QR codes, enabling instant document downloads.

The council’s program also includes a series of roundtable discussions focusing on pivotal educational topics. Experts and educational stakeholders will participate in these discussions, alongside engaging sessions involving children and youth from diverse educational backgrounds.

Key Roundtable Highlights

Kicking off the program on May 1st will be a roundtable titled “Artificial Intelligence and Education: Challenges and Perspectives,” held in the Fatima Al-Fihri Hall. This session aims to explore the challenges and potential of integrating generative AI applications into the educational sphere.

On May 6, another roundtable will focus on “Educating Students with Disabilities,” featuring testimonials and on-ground experiences aimed at exchanging insights to promote inclusive education.

Furthermore, on May 7, the council will host a discussion themed “Resilience of the Education System Amid Crises,” while a session on May 8 will address “Reading: A Window to Enjoyment and Learning,” featuring participants from the “Reading Challenge” competition to encourage a culture of reading among the youth.

A Vision for the Future of Moroccan Education

Through its active participation in the fair, the council aspires to stimulate dialogue on the future of Moroccan schools and to highlight the role of scientific research in shaping educational policies. This initiative represents a crucial opportunity for open discussion and interaction within one of the country’s hallmark cultural events.
