Call for Interest in “Women Empowerment” Initiative for Economic Support

Call for Interest in “Women Empowerment” Initiative for Economic Support
A A

Empowering Women Through Social Economy Initiatives

The Moroccan government, in collaboration with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), has officially launched the “Tashfiz Niswa” program aimed at economically empowering women. This initiative, backed by regional councils in Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, the East, and Souss-Massa, seeks to foster women’s integration into the social and solidarity economy.

Contextualizing Economic Empowerment

This national program is envisioned as a comprehensive support system for women, featuring vocational training, individual coaching, and co-financing opportunities. By reinforcing connections among women entrepreneurs in the solidarity economy, it aims to cultivate sustainable and structured projects.

Ambitious Goals for 2028

By 2028, “Tashfiz Niswa” hopes to train 2,000 women and establish 100 cooperatives in each targeted region, with the goal of creating or enhancing 5,000 jobs. This ambitious endeavor reflects a broader belief in social economy as a catalyst for local development.

Accessibility and Inclusivity

The initiative invites all women aged 18 and above residing in the targeted regions to express their interest, provided they have an existing project or a business idea within the social and solidarity economy. Importantly, no administrative documentation is required for registration, simplifying access and encouraging broader participation.

Engaging Stakeholders for Broader Impact

The registration period closes on May 7, 2026, at 7 PM, via a designated online platform. Organizers are actively encouraging institutional stakeholders, associations, and women’s networks to promote the program widely, ensuring that a greater number of women can benefit from this transformative opportunity.
