In a meeting held at the central headquarters in Rabat, the political bureau of the Authenticity and Modernity Party discussed a range of political, economic, and organizational issues against a backdrop of fluctuating national and international circumstances, influenced by developments in the Middle East and their repercussions on Moroccan internal affairs.
The party expressed its concern regarding the escalating conflict in the region, noting that its repercussions extend beyond geographical boundaries, affecting economic and social balances widely. At the same time, it praised the official Moroccan stance supporting Arab issues and emphasized the necessity for urgent international action to halt the war, condemning what it termed ongoing assaults on Palestinians, including violations of prisoners’ rights.
On the economic front, discussions focused on the impact of rising energy and essential goods prices on the domestic market, along with the increasing pressure on purchasing power. In this context, the party called for more targeted and effective support for the affected sectors, while stressing the need to confront monopolistic practices and the exploitation of crises to raise prices.
In the education sector, the party commended government measures aimed at reforming the system, whether through improving human resources or reviewing curricula. It also underscored the importance of objectively evaluating the “Leading School” initiative to ensure the desired outcomes from this reform project.
Regarding the agricultural sector, the political bureau expressed optimism for a promising season but did not hide its concern over the continual rise in red meat prices. This, it noted, is linked to an imbalance in livestock supply in the market, as farmers await public support, urging for the prompt disbursement of the second installment before the Eid al-Adha to help stabilize prices.
In electoral matters, the party welcomed the recent reforms approved by the government, particularly those related to regulating digital spending and simplifying nomination procedures, viewing these as steps to enhance transparency and equal opportunities.
Organizationally, the party highlighted several initiatives aimed at strengthening its presence and structure, including engaging in international discussions about economic transformations linked to artificial intelligence and preparing to host an international meeting in partnership with the International Liberal Organization. It also noted the dynamism being witnessed within its structures, especially in the lead-up to upcoming electoral events.
