US President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that the opportunity for dialogue with Tehran has “ended,” asserting that Iran has delayed its request for negotiations after months of talks that yielded no results, preceding the extensive US-Israeli attack on its territory.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote that recent strikes “destroyed their air defenses, air force, and leader,” adding, “They want to negotiate. I told them: It’s too late.”
These statements come amid an unprecedented escalation, with signs indicating a widening confrontation and increasing international pressure to contain the regional explosion.
