The Moroccan Professional Football League announced a temporary suspension of competitions in the first division.
In a statement released on Tuesday, March 10, the league indicated that this suspension aims to provide national clubs participating in African competitions the opportunity to play their home and away matches in optimal conditions, coinciding with the Eid al-Fitr period.
The draw for the quarter-finals of the African Champions League resulted in RS Berkane facing Sudan’s Al-Hilal, while the Royal Army team will take on Pyramids FC from Egypt. In the quarter-finals of the African Confederation Cup, Wydad Casablanca will confront Olimpique Safi.
The national teams are set to play their quarter-final first-leg matches at the end of this week, with the return legs scheduled for the following weekend.
