The Moroccan national team reveals its 2026 jersey designed with inspiration from the national heritage

Express TV: Mustafa Filali

On Tuesday, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation officially announced the launch of the new jersey for the national team for 2026, designed and produced in partnership with Puma, the official supplier for the Atlas Lions.

This new jersey features an artistic imprint inspired by the depth of Moroccan heritage, blending the authenticity of traditions with a modern spirit, in an attempt to present a contemporary vision that reflects the cultural identity of the Kingdom while keeping pace with global sports design developments. The Federation confirmed in an official statement that this release embodies a careful balance between innovation and loyalty to roots.

Puma utilized traditional Moroccan embroidery techniques in designing both the home and away jerseys, a time-honored art characterized by precision, symbolism, and aesthetics. This artisanal heritage has been reinterpreted in a modern style, showcasing the richness of Moroccan culture to the world, especially on the platforms of international football competitions.

The primary jersey is distinguished by its dark red color, symbolizing strength and national pride, reflecting the values of enthusiasm, courage, and commitment that characterize the Moroccan team. The away jersey features an elegant design inspired by Amazigh motifs, centered with an artistic engraving drawn from traditional embroidery, adding a refined aesthetic that reflects Morocco’s cultural diversity.

This jersey is not merely a sports uniform; it transcends that to become a symbol of national belonging and pride in Moroccan identity, as it is expected to be worn by the players during upcoming tournaments, notably the 2026 World Cup, where the Atlas Lions aim to continue their brilliance and honor Moroccan football.

Through this new collection, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and its partner Puma reaffirm their joint ambition to make the national team’s jersey more than just an outfit—it’s a national banner reflecting the intersection of sports and culture and embodies the spirit of creativity and excellence that resonates with different generations inside Morocco and beyond.
