Three Soldiers Killed in Clashes During Algerian Army Operation in Tebessa
Armed clashes occurred in Tebessa, eastern Algeria, between Algerian Army units and an armed group active near the border with Tunisia, resulting in the deaths of three soldiers, according to media sources.
The confrontation was part of a military operation carried out by army forces after monitoring the movements of the group and attempting to encircle its members in a border area.
The clashes also led to the deaths of seven militants from the group, while the army managed to recover several weapons and ammunition in their possession, including Kalashnikov assault rifles.
Preliminary reports indicate that the operation was initiated following intelligence surveillance of these groups in the mountainous area near the border.
Border areas in eastern Algeria have recently seen similar operations, as army units continue to conduct search and pursuit operations against armed groups, aiming to enhance security and stability in the region.
