The establishment of over 7,400 new businesses in the Fes-Meknes region during 2025.

More than 7,400 New Enterprises Established in the Fes-Meknes Region in 2025

The Fes-Meknes region recorded the establishment of a total of 7,454 new enterprises in 2025, according to data from the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property. This figure reflects the ongoing economic dynamism within the region.

The office noted that these enterprises are divided into 4,758 corporate entities and 2,696 individual enterprises.

Fes topped the list of cities with the most new enterprises in the region, with a total of 3,350 new businesses, followed by Meknes with 2,440 enterprises, and Taza with 528. Additionally, Sefrou saw the creation of 332 enterprises, Taounate 279, and Azrou 190, while Boulemane recorded 135 new businesses.

In terms of sector distribution, the trade sector accounted for the largest share, with 36.21% of the total new enterprises, followed by the construction, public works, and real estate sectors at 21.63%, and various services at 15.44%. The remaining enterprises were spread across the industrial sector (8.30%), transport (6.29%), hotels and restaurants (6.15%), agriculture (2.25%), financial activities (1.96%), and information and communication technology (1.78%).

Regarding the legal structure, the data showed that single-member limited liability companies (SARL-AU) represented 59.3% of the total new enterprises, followed by limited liability companies (SARL) at 40.1%, while a small percentage was distributed across other legal forms, including anonymous corporations.

At the national level, the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property reported that the number of enterprises established in Morocco during 2025 reached 109,644, comprising 78,615 corporate entities and 31,029 individual businesses.

The Casablanca-Settat region ranked first in terms of enterprise establishment with a total of 33,959 new enterprises, followed by the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, then Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, and Marrakech-Safi, while the Fes-Meknes region ranked sixth with 7,454 enterprises.
