Jordan is steering towards enhancing its cooperation with Morocco in the field of renewable energy by exploring the establishment of a practical partnership that leverages Morocco’s experience, which has solidified its position as a leading model in the region.

This direction was evident during discussions held at the Parliament in Rabat, bringing together Deputy Speaker of the House, Muhammad Ghiyat, and Head of the Energy and Mineral Resources Committee in the Jordanian Parliament, Ayman Abu Haniyeh, who is leading a parliamentary delegation on a working visit to the Kingdom.

During the meeting, the Jordanian official expressed his country’s desire to build effective cooperation with Morocco, particularly in the clean energy sector, highlighting the importance of benefiting from the path that Morocco has undertaken in developing renewable energy projects and enhancing its energy independence.

The discussions also provided an opportunity to reaffirm the deep ties between the two countries, as the rapprochement between the leaderships in Rabat and Amman supports the expansion of cooperative fields, especially in priority strategic sectors.

This movement comes within the context of the two countries’ efforts to broaden the horizons of bilateral partnership, focusing on promising areas capable of achieving economic integration and enhancing energy security in the region.
