Royal Air Maroc Launches Direct Route Between Brussels and Tetouan to Enhance Air Connectivity

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on Friday the inauguration of a new direct flight connecting the Belgian capital, Brussels, to the city of Tetouan. This initiative aims to strengthen air links between Morocco and Belgium. The new route is part of the airline’s efforts to expand its international flight network and facilitate travel between northern Morocco and Europe.

The inaugural flight took off from Brussels Airport—Zaventem at 12:15 PM, heading to Tetouan-Sania Ramel Airport, with flights scheduled twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. This route is designed to support tourism and economic activity in northern Morocco and ease access for the Moroccan community in Belgium to their homeland.

The inauguration ceremony was formally held in the departure hall of Brussels Airport, attended by several travelers from the Moroccan community and Belgian citizens wishing to visit northern Morocco. Representatives from Royal Air Maroc in Belgium, as well as the Moroccan ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg, Mohamed Amir, were present, alongside officials from Brussels Airport, the largest airport in the country.

This new route aligns with Morocco’s efforts to enhance its international flight network, contributing to direct connections between Moroccan cities and Europe, increasing the competitiveness of northern tourist destinations, and providing greater opportunities for investment and trade between Morocco and Belgium.
