On a phone call today, Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, spoke with Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, during which both sides reaffirmed the strength of the friendship and cooperation between Rabat and Moscow.
The meeting coincided with the tenth anniversary of the signing of a deep strategic partnership between the two countries in March 2016 in Moscow, during a historic visit by King Mohammed VI, which laid the groundwork for expanded cooperation across various political, economic, and diplomatic fields.
The two ministers expressed their shared desire to enhance this partnership and broaden the horizons of cooperation, highlighting the importance of ongoing consultations between Rabat and Moscow regarding current regional and international issues.
They also emphasized the role that bilateral coordination could play in supporting international peace and stability, reaffirming their commitment to working together to address regional challenges and promote international dialogue.
