Morocco solidifies its position among the major global producers for Renault.

Morocco has strengthened its presence within Renault Group’s global production network, becoming one of its key manufacturing centers, especially as the traditional weight of French factories within the system declines.

L’Argus reported that the group’s production reached approximately 2.43 million vehicles in 2025, marking a slight growth of 0.9%, coinciding with a international redistribution of production sites.

In this context, the Tangier factory maintained its status as one of the most important production units, totaling nearly 299,000 vehicles, despite a slight decrease compared to 2024. Additionally, the Casablanca factory contributed around 95,000 vehicles, further enhancing Morocco’s role in the group’s industrial strategy.

Conversely, France now accounts for only 21% of global production, despite experiencing a 5% increase, reflecting a gradual shift toward transferring some production capabilities to more competitive countries.

Turkey topped the production sites list with its Bursa factory, producing over 336,000 units, followed by Tangier and Romania, showcasing the new industrial map for the group.

Dacia, a subsidiary of the group, continues to manufacture several of its models outside France, as part of a strategy aimed at diversifying production bases and achieving greater flexibility in supply chains.

These figures confirm that Morocco has become a significant industrial player within the Renault Group framework, amid global changes driving the repositioning of production centers based on cost and efficiency considerations.
