The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, hosted the Omani Ambassador to Morocco, Khalid Bensalem Bamekhlef, today in the capital Rabat. The meeting aimed to explore ways to enhance security cooperation between the two countries.
This gathering provided an opportunity to exchange views on mechanisms for improving bilateral coordination, particularly concerning shared security challenges, chief among them combating terrorism and transnational organized crime, as well as strengthening the exchange of information and expertise between specialized agencies.
The two sides also addressed the security transformations occurring in the regional and international contexts, and their implications for the stability of countries in light of the escalating threats posed by criminal networks and cross-border phenomena.
This meeting comes within the framework of the dynamic Moroccan-Omani relations, which are witnessing increasing coordination in security matters, reflecting a shared desire to expand fields of cooperation and enhance channels of coordination between the security institutions of the two nations.
