Royal Army’s Disappointing Draw Against Pyramids at Home

Express TV: Mustafa Al-Filali

The match between Morocco’s Royal Army and Egypt’s Pyramids FC ended in a 1-1 draw during the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinals, held at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat without any spectators.

The military team opened the scoring early in the eighth minute through striker Ahmed Hamoudan. They attempted to extend their lead throughout the remaining first half but failed to double their advantage.

In the second half, the Egyptian team equalized in the 52nd minute with a goal from forward Mahmoud Zalaka. The Royal Army sought to regain the lead in the final minutes, but the match concluded with a 1-1 draw.

The return leg is set to take place in Cairo at the Air Defense Stadium on Saturday, March 21, starting at 19:00 GMT.
