A Senegalese citizen sought internationally for murder was arrested in the vicinity of Agadir on Friday, March 6. The 41-year-old individual was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the judicial authorities in Senegal, suspected of involvement in a case related to premeditated murder and concealing stolen property.

The arrest took place in the rural area of Ait Amira in the district of Chtouka Ait Baha, following investigations initiated by the security services based on precise information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance.

A check of the suspect’s identity against the database of Interpol revealed that he was wanted internationally under a red notice requested by the Senegalese judiciary, in connection with a murder and the concealment of property obtained from a criminal act.

The suspect was subjected to extradition procedures as per the instructions of the relevant public prosecutor, while the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Rabat informed its counterpart in Senegal about the arrest as part of the coordination related to extradition procedures.

This operation is part of Morocco’s efforts to enhance international cooperation in combating organized crime and tracking individuals wanted internationally for cross-border offenses.
