The Ministry of Health and Social Protection, through the Human Resources Directorate, has announced significant progress in settling the administrative and financial statuses of thousands of employees and professionals in the healthcare sector, as reported in the latest bulletin updated until February 25, 2026. This initiative is part of the ministry’s commitment to enhance human capital and motivate healthcare staff in recognition of their crucial role in developing the national system.
Official statistics from the ministry reveal that the integration and settlement process for new employees (2025 recruitment) allocated 6,500 financial positions is advancing rapidly; the settlement rate has reached 52% among medical staff (362 cases), 24% among administrative and technical staff, and 18% among nurses and health technicians. The ministry confirmed that the entire process is expected to be completed by next April.
In a related context, the relevant authorities have recorded what they describe as “record” completion rates in other cases, notably achieving an 88% settlement rate for resident doctors (937 cases processed) and a significant 91% progress in settling the statuses of first-degree nurses (second installment) based on the amended decree 2.22.681, where 4,741 cases have been cleared.
Regarding professional pathways, the ministry has begun processing a total of 8,576 cases related to promotions in both rank and grade across various bodies. The directorate is currently working in intensive coordination with regional health directorates to finalize the scoring lists, aiming to complete the final clearance of these cases during March and April 2026. Administrative measures also included the integration of 402 scientific attachés into their new basic system, implementing the outcomes of sectoral dialogue.
Concerning the social aspect and the improvement of administrative services, 44.50% of family compensation files have been settled, a process the ministry confirmed is now “fully digitized” from the delegations to the approved treasury. Additionally, the Human Resources Directorate continues to handle files related to specialization compensation for specialist doctors, urging those involved to complete their missing data to expedite the disbursement of their financial entitlements.
