Morocco Suspends Flights to Doha Due to Military Escalation in the Middle East

Royal Air Maroc announced on Saturday morning, February 28, 2026, the suspension of its flight scheduled to the Qatari capital, Doha, amid the security unrest currently affecting the Middle East.

This decision follows the announcement by both Israel and the United States of a military strike against Iran, which has quickly impacted air traffic in several countries in the region, raising concerns about airspace safety.

In this context, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announced a temporary closure of Qatar’s airspace as a precautionary measure, while Qatar Airways decided to suspend all flights to and from Doha until further notice.

These developments have caused disruptions to several international flights, pending further developments regarding the stabilization of the situation and the reopening of airspace for civil aviation.
