Abdel Raheem Ben Dhow Suspends Membership in PAM Until Resolution of Ongoing Legal Proceedings

Member of Parliament Abdel Raheem Ben Dhow, representing the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), has announced his decision to temporarily suspend his membership in the party. This step, he stated, is to remain in effect until a final ruling is made in an ongoing commercial legal case.

In a statement addressed to the public, Ben Dhow clarified that the case before the judiciary is unrelated to his parliamentary position or party affiliation, nor is it connected to any political or institutional activities. He emphasized that the matter is strictly professional and is subject to the assessment of the competent judicial authority.

Ben Dhow further expressed his choice to refrain from discussing the details of the case or commenting on its proceedings, respecting the judicial institution and expressing confidence in the course of justice, until all legal measures are completed, and the final judicial decision is issued.

He justified his decision to suspend his party membership by his desire to protect the image of parliamentary and party work, and to avoid any interpretations that could impact the Authenticity and Modernity Party or affect public trust in institutions. He firmly stated that this step reflects his commitment to both political and ethical responsibility.

In closing his statement, Ben Dhow reiterated his adherence to the principle of presumption of innocence, as guaranteed by the constitution and the law, expressing his belief that the truth will come to light within the framework of a state governed by rights and law.
