The Moroccan government council, chaired by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, will discuss the establishment and organization of the Moroccan Academy of Aviation Professions on Thursday, January 8, 2026. This item is included in a broader agenda that features several legislative projects aimed at supporting professional and economic development.

According to a statement from the Prime Ministry, the council, set to convene next Thursday in Rabat, will begin its sessions by studying a draft law pertaining to the regulation of the legal profession. This will be followed by discussions on two draft decrees, one concerning the establishment of a fee for services rendered by training institutions in hospitality and tourism, and the other dedicated to the creation and organization of the Moroccan Academy of Aviation Professions. This project aims to enhance specialized training in the aviation sector and meet the needs of the national market in this dynamic field.

This initiative comes as part of the state’s ongoing efforts to develop the vocational and university training system, particularly in strategic sectors that offer high added value, such as civil aviation and related services. The goal is to align training with the requirements of both national and international markets and provide highly qualified technical expertise.

The academy is expected to offer a range of multidisciplinary training programs in aviation professions, including aircraft maintenance, air navigation, airport management, and aviation safety. It will also provide specialized training in new fields that align with technological advancements and international standards. This project is seen as a significant step towards solidifying Morocco’s position as a regional hub in aviation industry and training, thereby supporting employment and promoting professional integration for youth.

Incorporating the establishment of the academy into the council’s agenda signals the executive authority’s commitment to enhancing national training capacities in a vital sector that continues to grow and requires qualified human resources to contribute to its development at the local and regional levels.
