Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens Trading with Losses

The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading today, Friday, in the red, with its main index, the “MAZ”, recording a decline of 0.24% to settle at 19,341.73 points.

The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, dropped by 0.33% to 1,522.84 points, while the MASI.ESG index, which represents companies with the best ratings, decreased by 0.21% to 1,293.26 points.

Meanwhile, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, which tracks the performance of small and medium enterprises listed on the exchange, fell by 0.21% to 1,897.74 points.

In terms of individual stocks, the largest declines were recorded by “Bank of Morocco” (-3.08% to 1,100 dirhams), “Ab Marhaba Com” (-2.59% to 69.5 dirhams), “CFG Bank” (-2.58% to 245.5 dirhams), “Alliances” (-2.44% to 551.2 dirhams), and “Colorado” (-1.96% to 84.12 dirhams).

Conversely, the largest gains were seen by “MakroData” (+6.13% to 849 dirhams), “Sunlam Morocco” (+3.64% to 2,280 dirhams), “Imiter Mining Company” (+2.64% to 4,670 dirhams), “Strock Industry” (+1.94% to 276 dirhams), and “Moroccan Oxygen” (+1.93% to 412.8 dirhams).

The “MAZ” index had concluded trading yesterday, Thursday, with a loss of 0.29%.
