Slight Decline in Industrial Production Prices in Morocco During December 2025

Industrial production prices in Morocco experienced a slight decline in December 2025, according to the latest data from the High Commission for Planning. The industrial production price index, excluding oil refining, fell by 0.1 percent compared to November.

The commission attributed this decline mainly to a drop in food prices by 0.7 percent and in automotive manufacturing by 0.4 percent, both of which are among the key contributors to national industrial activity.

Conversely, several industrial sectors recorded notable increases in production prices, including the beverage sector which rose by 1.1 percent, clothing manufacturing by 0.5 percent, as well as rubber and plastic products by 0.8 percent, and furniture production by 0.9 percent.

Other sectors saw limited increases, with the textile sector rising by 0.3 percent, chemical industry, non-metallic mineral production, and extractive industries all increasing by 0.1 percent each.

Meanwhile, the price index for extractive industries, electricity production and distribution, and water production and distribution remained stable, with no changes recorded during December 2025.

This development reflects an industrial situation characterized by varying performance across different sectors, amid temporary adjustments in production costs and a relative decline in demand in some areas, within an economic context still marked by uncertainty.
