Partnership Agreement Expands Driving License Services through Al Barid Bank and Barid Cash Network

The National Road Safety Agency signed a partnership agreement with Al Barid Bank and Barid Cash on Tuesday in Rabat, in the presence of Abdul Sammad Kayouh, Minister of Transport and Logistics. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of services provided in the transport and road safety sector and broaden access nationwide.

Kayouh emphasized that this agreement is part of efforts to modernize public services and bring them closer to citizens. He highlighted that the new partnership will expand the distribution network from approximately 700 agencies to nearly 1,000 outlets across various regions of the country, including rural and remote areas.

The Minister of Transport and Logistics explained that this initiative would allow users to submit and receive files and documents related to driving licenses and registration cards remotely, eliminating the need for long-distance travel or direct visits to relevant administrations. This will help alleviate pressure on administrative services and improve service quality.

The government official added that the agreement primarily relies on digital means, which is expected to reduce the time required to process and deliver documents, enhance transparency, and increase efficiency in managing services related to road safety. This aligns with national trends in digital transformation and streamlining administrative procedures.

The partnership is anticipated to promote spatial equity and enable rural communities to access administrative services equally, while also supporting the modernization of driving license and registration card systems to meet contemporary demands and citizens’ expectations.
