The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Amin Teharaoui, along with the Governor of Boulemane Province, Allal Baz, and several officials and elected representatives, inaugurated services at ten urban and rural health centers on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the second-level rural health center “Tandit” in Boulemane Province.
This launch is part of the implementation of the high royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aimed at reforming and rehabilitating the national healthcare system, as well as continuing the government program for the qualification of primary healthcare institutions, which seeks to rebuild, modernize, and equip 1,400 health centers across various regions of the Kingdom.
In the Fez province, four first-level urban health centers were launched, specifically the “Sundus,” “Bab Sefrir,” “Ibn Sulaiman,” and “Al-Adarisa” centers. In Meknes province, services were launched at the first-level urban health center “Riyad Al-Kastani.”
In the Taounate province, the operation included the second-level rural health center “Bouarous” and the rural dispensary “Oulad Ali,” while the health offering in the Sefrou province was enhanced with the launch of the rural dispensary “Azkan.” In Boulemane Province, services at the second-level rural health center “Tandit” were inaugurated, accompanied by a nearby medical emergency unit, in addition to the rural dispensary “Taknasha.”
It is expected that over 205,000 residents will benefit from these healthcare facilities, overseen by a team of 80 healthcare professionals. These centers, part of the new generation of primary healthcare institutions, aim to enhance health services, bring them closer to citizens, meet the increasing demand for healthcare, and improve access and quality, along with upgrading the conditions for reception and guidance.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection stated that these facilities have been equipped with high-quality medical equipment and staffed with qualified human resources to provide diverse medical and nursing services, including general examinations, nursing treatments, chronic disease management such as diabetes and hypertension, maternal and child health, school health, awareness and education activities, as well as epidemic surveillance and mobile health services.
