Tunisia and Tanzania draw, while Nigeria defeats Uganda in the final match of the third round of Group C in the Africa Cup of Nations 2025.
The Tunisian national team drew with their Tanzanian counterpart 1-1 in a match held at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, as part of the third round of the group stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The opening goal for Tunisia came from Ismail Ghazali, who converted a penalty in the 23rd minute, while Tanzania’s Faisal Selum equalized in the 48th minute of the match.
In another match of the same group, Nigeria secured a valuable victory over Uganda with a score of 3-1 at the Grand Stadium of Fez. The “Super Eagles” saw goals from Paul Onuachu in the 23rd minute, and Raphael Onyedika in the 62nd and 67th minutes, while Uganda’s goal was scored by Rogers Mato in the 75th minute.
With these results, Nigeria and Tunisia have secured their spots in the Round of 16. Nigeria topped Group C with a perfect score of 9 points from three wins, while Tunisia finished second with 4 points from one win, one draw, and one loss.
