The public prosecutor at the Fes Court of First Instance announced today, Tuesday, that the collapse of two adjacent buildings in the Al-Masira neighborhood of Bensouda on the night of Monday, December 9, 2025, resulted in the deaths of 22 people, including children and women, and left 16 others injured with varying degrees of severity. The statement clarified that the first building was unoccupied, while the second was hosting a celebration at the time of the incident.

The public prosecutor indicated that the judicial police have launched an investigation under the supervision of the public prosecution to determine the true causes of the collapse and to uncover the circumstances surrounding it, stressing that the reported toll remains preliminary and subject to change.

The statement was issued in Fes on December 10, 2025.
