The Higher Scientific Council is holding its 36th session in Rabat
The council is convening its ordinary autumn session on December 12 and 13 in Rabat, by the order of the Commander of the Faithful, King Mohammed VI, President of the Higher Scientific Council.
The following is the statement from the Higher Scientific Council regarding this matter:
“By the order of the Commander of the Faithful, our Lord Mohammed VI, may God exalt his status, President of the Higher Scientific Council,
In implementation of the provisions of the royal decree No. 1.03.300 issued on the 2nd of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1425 (April 22, 2004) regarding the reorganization of scientific councils as amended and supplemented, particularly the first paragraph of article four thereof;
And in accordance with the provisions of the royal decree No. 1.04.231 issued on the 7th of Muharram 1426 (February 16, 2005) approving the internal regulations of the Higher Scientific Council, especially articles five and six thereof;
As well as royal decrees No. 1.23.47 and No. 1.23.48 issued on the 26th of Dhu al-Qi’dah 1444 (June 15, 2023);
The Higher Scientific Council will hold its ordinary autumn session (the 36th session) on Friday and Saturday, the 21st and 22nd of Jumada al-Thani 1447 AH / December 12 and 13, 2025 AD, at 5 PM, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Higher Scientific Council in the city of Al-Irfan, Rabat.
The council’s committees will focus on studying the issues listed on the agenda for the session, which include:
– Approving the annual work program for the Higher Scientific Council and scientific councils (2025 – 2026);
– Discussing the program to commemorate the 15th century anniversary of the birth of the Prophet ﷺ in light of the royal message;
– Programming field intervention areas as part of the outreach plan for the season (2025 – 2026);
– Reviewing the work of the Fatwa Board between the two sessions and the issuance of a fatwa on zakat as instructed by our Lord the Commander of the Faithful, may God preserve him;
– Following up on the work of the Heritage Investigation Committee and the Studies and Research Committee on the scientific tasks assigned to them;
– Discussing the financial management of the budget of the Higher Scientific Council and scientific councils for the financial year 2026.”
