The General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration has responded to a video posted on a website, claiming that a prisoner was “transferred from the central prison in Kenitra to the local prison in Tolel 2 in Meknes and then returned to the central prison through the mediation of an individual.” The Delegation emphasized that these claims are unfounded.

In a statement directed to public opinion, the Delegation clarified that the prisoner in question (N.B.) was indeed transferred on July 2, 2025, from the central prison in Kenitra to the local prison in Tolel 2 in Meknes to serve his sentence. Furthermore, the subsequent transfer on November 28, 2025, was to the local prison in Kenitra, not the central prison, and this action was taken for purely judicial reasons.

The General Delegation confirmed that the information presented in the circulated video contains misleading and incorrect details, stating that prisoner transfers are conducted in accordance with legal procedures and based on decisions from the relevant judicial authorities, without any external interference or influence.
