The death toll from the thunderstorm floods in the Safi region has risen to 14.

The local authorities in the Safi region reported an updated toll of 14 fatalities following the heavy thunderstorms that struck the area on Sunday evening, December 14, 2025. These storms were accompanied by exceptional flash floods within a short period of time.

Official data indicated that health services attended to 32 individuals who sustained injuries of varying severity, most of whom were discharged from the hospital after receiving necessary treatments, while some cases remain under medical observation.

In a related context, public authorities, along with various sectors and stakeholders, are continuing their comprehensive mobilization efforts to search for potential missing persons, alongside rapid field interventions to secure affected areas.

Specialized teams are also providing necessary support and assistance to the impacted population amid the challenging conditions left by the severe weather in the region.
