The Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens with a Decline

The Casablanca Stock Exchange commenced its trading today, Friday, on a downward note, with its main indicator, the “MAZI,” recording a decline of 0.12% to settle at 18,364.79 points.

The “MASI.20” index, reflecting the performance of 20 listed companies, also fell by 0.12% to 1,492.99 points, while the MASI.ESG index, representing companies with the best ratings, dropped by 0.23% to 1,242.62 points.

Meanwhile, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, which tracks the price performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the exchange, lost 0.49% to reach 1,795.97 points.

The “MAZI” index had concluded trading yesterday, Thursday, with an increase of 0.08%.
