Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens Trading with Gains

Today, Friday, the Casablanca Stock Exchange commenced trading on a positive note, with its main index, “MAZ Index,” rising by 0.51%, settling at 19,037.7 points.

The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, saw an increase of 0.34% to reach 1,501.18 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG index, which highlights firms with superior ratings, rose by 0.76% to 1,252.54 points.

Additionally, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap” index, which tracks the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the exchange, gained 0.2%, reaching 1,841.13 points.

In terms of individual stocks, the top gainers included “M2M Group” (+5.11% / 473 dirhams), “Mechanical Achievements” (+4.81% / 497 dirhams), “Land Capital” (+4.76% / 440 dirhams), “Akdital” (+4.22% / 1,162 dirhams), and “Mining” (+3.97% / 6,446 dirhams).

Conversely, the most significant declines were recorded by “CFG Bank” (-3.65% / 245.7 dirhams), “Kart Sihada” (-3.43% / 33.21 dirhams), “Moroccan Bank for Trade and Industry” (-2.97% / 615.20 dirhams), “Bank of Africa” (-2.17% / 225 dirhams), along with an unspecified value (-1.44% / 82 dirhams).

The “MAZ Index” had concluded trading yesterday, Thursday, with an increase of 0.13%.
