Royal Air Maroc Launches First Direct Flight from Casablanca to Los Angeles Starting June 2026

Royal Air Maroc announced on Thursday the launch of a new direct flight connecting Casablanca to Los Angeles starting on June 7, 2026, marking the first direct link between Africa and the Pacific coast of the United States. The flight will take approximately 12 hours.

The route will operate three times a week, in response to rising demand for intercontinental flights as the 2026 World Cup approaches. It primarily targets the Moroccan and African diaspora, American tourists, business travelers, and fans from Morocco, Africa, and Europe.

Hamid Addou, the CEO of Royal Air Maroc, stated that this new route represents a “historic milestone” for the airline and aims to enhance air connectivity for the African continent. He noted that it will contribute to increasing Morocco’s presence in one of the world’s key tourist markets.

Flights will be operated using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, which offer high levels of comfort, technology, and individual entertainment, reinforcing Casablanca Airport’s role as a pivotal hub connecting Africa with Europe and the Americas. The airline also plans to increase flight frequencies to several distant destinations, including São Paulo, Miami, Washington, and Dubai.

With the opening of this route, Royal Air Maroc solidifies its position as a leading airline in Africa and supports Morocco’s status as a global air hub in preparation for the 2030 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal. Flights will depart Casablanca on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 04:00, arriving in Los Angeles at 08:20. Return flights will leave Los Angeles at 10:20, landing in Casablanca at 05:25 the following morning.

The company has made tickets available for purchase starting Thursday, December 4, 2025, through its website, call centers, and agencies.
