Proactive Preparedness Prevents Rain Disruptions in Khouribga, Credited to the Municipal Council

As part of proactive efforts to mitigate the effects of rainfalls, a notable achievement is credited to the municipal council of Khouribga, thanks to the coordinated efforts among various stakeholders and the implementation of directives issued by the Prefect of Khouribga Province aimed at ensuring the city is prepared for any potential emergencies.
In this context, Abdeljalil Jadaoui, Vice President of the Khouribga Municipal Council, stated that the local communal services, following direct instructions from the prefect, and under the keen supervision of the council president, meticulously monitored every detail related to the preparation process for the rainy season through a preventive program encompassing various neighborhoods in the city.
Jadaoui added that this operation primarily focused on identifying and addressing areas known for water accumulation, as well as cleaning rainwater drainage channels and closely monitoring their technical status to prevent any blockages that could lead to localized flooding. Preemptive interventions were made before the onset of the rains.
According to field inspections, these measures yielded positive results reflected in the overall situation of the city during the initial rainfalls, as no major disruptions were reported compared to previous years. This confirms the effectiveness of the preventive approach adopted, as well as the importance of coordination between the regional authority, the municipal council, and technical services.
This proactive work highlights the awareness of the significance of prior planning in managing natural risks, reflecting the commitment of local officials to safeguard citizens and their properties, while enhancing trust in local governance based on effective field monitoring and management.
