The British Embassy in Morocco has announced a new visa system that involves transitioning from traditional paper stickers to electronic visas (eVisa) for the majority of visa applicants.
The embassy clarified in an official statement that this change is part of the British government’s efforts to simplify travel procedures and reduce reliance on paper documents. It added that visa information will no longer be affixed to passports; instead, it will be available digitally through the applicant’s account on the UKVI platform.
The embassy urged all travelers to create an account on the mentioned platform before their travel date and link their valid passport to it, ensuring easy verification of the visa at crossing points.
According to the statement, the new system aims to expedite the visa acquisition process, enhance security, minimize the risks of loss or forgery, and save time and effort for travelers and monitoring authorities.
