“Transitory Traces” on the Big Screen

In celebration of the 30th edition of the Rabat International Author Cinema Festival, and with the support of the Moroccan Cinematographic Center, a biographical film titled “Transitory Traces – The Journey of the Artist and Aesthetic Researcher Ibrahim Al-Haysin” (56 min, color, 2025) directed by Alia Al-Tawir will be screened on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Cinema Art Hall at 4 PM.

The film tracks the traces of our artistic experience and explores the depths of our paintings inspired by the secrets of the desert, summarizing the essence of creativity emerging from marginalized areas. Filming took place in diverse locations, starting from the artist’s home and studio, passing through his exhibition held in the Oulhaou Park in Agadir, which featured paintings and artistic sculptures, attended by critics and aesthetic researchers Abdullah Sheikh and Bunyounes Amiraou, who provided critical insights to enrich the film, alongside a group of artists and intellectuals. The filming then continued in Laayoune and its desert surroundings.

This biographical documentary film “Transitory Traces” overall aimed to trace impacts through a study of paintings and artistic sculptures, following their formation paths in symbolic and spiritual harmony with the vastness and expanses of the desert.

The film was written by Ali Salem Yara, with artistic direction by Abdellah El-Johari, cinematography by Karim Benbou, sound by Aziz Ghassine, music by El Rinko, and production by Nagy El-Johari with Zorba Pro as the production executor.
