The Attorney General of Morocco holds discussions with his Kenyan counterpart to enhance judicial cooperation.

On the morning of today, Mr. Hicham Belahouel, the Attorney General at the Court of Cassation and head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, welcomed Mr. Renson Njuguna, the Director of Public Prosecutions of the Republic of Kenya, along with his accompanying delegation, at the headquarters of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Rabat during an official visit to the country.

The meeting addressed ways to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between the Moroccan Public Prosecutor’s Office and its Kenyan counterpart in February 2023, which aims to strengthen cooperation in combating transnational organized crime, including cybercrime, bribery, money laundering, and human trafficking.

The two sides agreed to exchange official working visits and launch joint training programs for members of the public prosecution offices in both countries, along with organizing thematic seminars on issues of mutual interest.

This meeting reflects the Kingdom of Morocco’s commitment to developing international judicial cooperation and exchanging best practices and experiences, contributing to enhancing the effectiveness of criminal justice and upholding the rule of law.
