Jameel Motors officially enters the utility vehicle market through a partnership with Chinese JMC

Jameel Motors has strengthened its presence in the Moroccan market by appointing itself as the official distributor for Jiangling Motors Corporation, the Chinese manufacturer specializing in light utility vehicles. This appointment followed a competitive process involving several national and international companies, marking JMC’s official entry into Morocco.

This collaboration represents a strategic step for Jameel Motors, expanding its offerings to include utility vehicles, backed by over three decades of experience in the local market. The Moroccan market continues to attract the interest of international players, particularly as new car sales soar by more than 35 percent by the end of September 2025.

Jameel Motors is expected to begin marketing the full range of JMC light vehicles starting in the spring of 2026, including pick-ups, light trucks, vans, and passenger transport vehicles. These offerings aim to meet the needs of Moroccan businesses seeking practical and reliable solutions.

Hassan Alami, the General Manager for the Middle East and Africa at Jameel Motors, stated that this partnership reflects the group’s commitment to expanding mobility options in Morocco. He added, “By combining JMC’s nearly 80 years of expertise with our local presence, we are confident that this partnership will support the growth of the national automotive sector.”

On his part, Ho Yong, General Manager for the Middle East and Africa at JMC, remarked that entering the Moroccan market is a crucial milestone in the brand’s international expansion strategy, leveraging Jameel Motors’ experience in utility solutions.

Founded in 1947, JMC has a presence in over 110 countries and boasts a vast international network. Jameel Motors, active in more than ten countries, represents several major global brands. This partnership opens a new phase in the development of both companies and strengthens the utility vehicle offerings within the Moroccan market.
