Interpol Awards Abdelatif Hammouchi with the Organization’s Highest Honors in Recognition of His International Efforts

Interpol has awarded Abdul Latif Hammouchi, the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, the organization’s highest honor in a formal ceremony held during the closing session of the General Assembly in Marrakech. This award represents the organization’s highest recognition given to international figures who have made significant contributions to enhancing global security.

According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security, Interpol highlighted that this honor acknowledges Hammouchi’s “exceptional efforts” in supporting security and stability at both regional and international levels, as well as his role in reinforcing partnership and solidarity values between Arab countries and the international organization.

The organization emphasized in its official testimony that granting this prestigious award reflects appreciation for Hammouchi’s steadfast commitment to enhancing international cooperation in law enforcement, alongside his effective role in combating transnational organized crime and his distinguished leadership in developing Arab and international security cooperation.

The award ceremony was attended by the President of Interpol, its Secretary-General, executive committee members, and delegations from member states, as well as heads of international and regional organizations. It celebrated Morocco’s contributions to enhancing global security and fostering multilateral cooperation in the fight against crime.
