igus Germany Strengthens Its Presence in Morocco with New Branch Opening in Casablanca

The global leader in high-performance polymer components for mechanical industries, igus Germany, has opened its Moroccan branch in Casablanca. This move aims to enhance proximity to local industrial stakeholders and support the long-term development of the sector. For over sixty years, igus has been designing and producing innovative solutions to improve machinery movement in more than eighty countries, including self-lubricating bearings, cable carrier chains, flexible cables, linear guides, and automation solutions.

These components offer an ideal alternative to traditional metal parts, reducing wear and the need for maintenance while lowering costs. All products undergo rigorous testing to ensure durability and reliability, backed by a warranty of up to 48 months. Frank Rogier, General Manager of igus Morocco, emphasized that the goal of this branch is to provide innovative solutions for the Moroccan industry and support companies in the dynamic growth the country has experienced in recent years. The igus Morocco branch was established in June 2025, focusing on enhancing communication with local customers, providing direct technical support, and developing new partnerships in key industrial sectors.

The company offers tailored solutions for various industries, such as mining and cement, providing wear-resistant chains and cables, as well as self-lubricating bearings to withstand dust, shocks, and vibrations. In the oil and gas sector, igus ensures uninterrupted operation on offshore platforms and refining facilities using Chainflex cables and chains. For the solar energy sector, the Dry-tech bearings and chains maintain smooth operation under high temperatures and UV radiation. In ports and corrosive environments, igus provides products resistant to salinity and moisture used in several Moroccan ports, including Tangier Med and Casablanca, equipped with iSense technology for performance monitoring and predictive maintenance. Additionally, in the food and packaging sector, Drylin linear guides and Igidur bearings comply with FDA and EU standards for clean, silent operation without the need for lubrication.

The Morocco branch also offers long-term maintenance programs, including a Basic subscription with at least two annual visits for 600 dirhams per month, providing detailed reports. The Premium subscription includes a full day of service monthly for 3,000 dirhams, offering in-depth maintenance, team training, and a 10% discount on installations. An Express subscription ensures immediate intervention around the clock starting at 35,000 dirhams, with a 15% discount on installations. Frank Rogier and Idris Shakar lead igus Morocco, which aims to become a reference partner for national industries, contributing to modernization and sustainability.
