The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading on Friday with negative performance, as its main index “MASI” declined by 0.19% to settle at 18,605.43 points.
The “MASI.20” index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, fell by 0.22% to 1,515.88 points, while the MASI.ESG, which represents companies with the best ratings, lost 0.01% to 1,264.56 points.
Additionally, the “MASI Mid and Small Cap,” which tracks the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the exchange, recorded a drop of 0.55% to 1,794.08 points.
In terms of individual stocks, the largest declines were recorded by Stroc Industry (-5% to 285 dirhams), Bank of Morocco (-3.19% to 966.2 dirhams), CFG Bank (-2.24% to 240.5 dirhams), Casablanca Public Works Company (-1.61% to 910.1 dirhams), and DSI Technologies (-1.37% to 360 dirhams).
Conversely, the strongest gains were made by Microdata (+5.46% to 811 dirhams), Snip (+4.16% to 500 dirhams), the mining company Imiter (+3.88% to 2,701 dirhams), Finibroset (+2.83% to 450 dirhams), and Kart El Saada (+2.54% to 35.89 dirhams).
The MASI index had ended trading on Thursday with an increase of 0.57%.
