Akhannouch congratulates His Majesty the King and the Moroccan people following the UN recognition of autonomy: A historic achievement for Moroccan diplomacy
The President of the National Rally of Independents Party, Aziz Akhannouch, emphasized today, Saturday in Beni Mellal, during the sixth stop of the national tour “Path of Achievements,” that this meeting comes at a pivotal moment for the nation’s foremost cause, following the significant international momentum that followed the Security Council’s affirmation of the autonomy proposal as the only and final solution to the fabricated conflict over Moroccan Sahara.
At the start of his speech, Akhannouch extended his congratulations to His Majesty King Mohammed VI and to all Moroccans from Tangier to Lagouira, both inside and outside the country, on this historic achievement which crowns a long journey of diligent diplomacy.
Akhannouch highlighted that the UN decision is fair and just, opening the door for all parties to engage in constructive dialogue based on consensus and shared responsibility, recalling what was stated in the recent Throne Day speech about the need to prioritize realistic solutions that respect everyone’s dignity. He noted that this decision enhances hope for a prosperous future characterized by peace and development in our southern regions.
Akhannouch affirmed that the Security Council’s decision places all parties before their historical responsibilities, representing a genuine opportunity to build a harmonious and thriving Maghreb space, praising the pivotal role of His Majesty the King in achieving this unprecedented diplomatic milestone.
The leader of the RNI stated that Moroccan diplomacy, under wise royal leadership, has exemplified for 26 years a model of realism and balance, which has granted the Kingdom a prominent international status and broad respect, culminating in this UN recognition of the credibility of the Moroccan proposal.
Akhannouch concluded by reaffirming that the King’s visionary outlook has made this year a transition from a management mindset to a change mindset, as the Kingdom, under His Majesty’s leadership, continues to solidify its territorial unity and build a comprehensive developmental model across the entire nation.
