Security Forces in Kenitra Strike Hard: 23 Individuals Arrested for Involvement in Riots and Violence on Wednesday Night
The Kenitra security authorities managed to arrest 23 individuals on Wednesday night, suspected of being involved in riots and violent protests related to what is referred to as Generation Z.
The events began with the vandalism of Ibn Khafaja Park, where unknown assailants destroyed the park’s fence and damaged the equipment located inside. The unrest quickly escalated to an attack on the regional council’s headquarters and an attempted break-in at a residential building, along with the shattering of windows of parked cars and damage to other public property.
The Kenitra police took immediate and decisive action to contain the situation and successfully apprehended the suspects. They will be referred to the public prosecutor to face charges, and investigations will be initiated to ascertain their motives and assess the extent of material damage caused by these acts.
Security authorities confirmed that any attempt to incite chaos will be met with a stern response, while committing to protecting citizens’ properties and preserving social peace in the city. They urged all residents to cooperate and report any actions that could threaten public safety.
