The elements of the judicial police of the Royal Gendarmerie in Sidi Benour managed last night, Sunday, to arrest two individuals with criminal records caught in the act of drug trafficking and the distribution of psychoactive pills.
The operation came after precise field investigations led the gendarmerie to the agricultural fields adjacent to Douar Al-Attatra near Sidi Benour, where the suspects were found in possession of 148 pills of “Rivotril” and 142 pills of “Ecstasy,” in addition to 80 cans of tire adhesive “Selysion” and 14 grams of cannabis resin.
In a simultaneous operation, the same officers arrested another drug dealer, also with a criminal history, near a gas station in the vicinity of the Al-Aounat rural community. The search resulted in the seizure of 4.5 kilograms of cannabis in the form of buds, as well as a Docker C50 motorcycle that the arrested individual used for his illegal activities.
All suspects have been placed under judicial surveillance pending the investigation being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, awaiting the completion of the necessary legal procedures.
