The Moroccan national football team traveled today, Friday, to the United Arab Emirates as part of their intensive preparations for the upcoming Arab Cup, set to take place in Qatar this December.
The reserve team will play a friendly match against Kuwait next Tuesday, in an effort led by coach Tarik Skitiwi to evaluate the players and test their physical and tactical readiness ahead of the significant Arab challenge.
The call-up list for this training camp includes Faraji Kamoun from Olympique Safi, Mohammed Khalwi and Karim Barkawi from Al Dhafra, Mohammed Moamen from Ajman, and Ashraf Mahdiwi from Al Taawoun in Saudi Arabia, as well as Elias Karimi, who plays for Al Jazira in the UAE. These players will join the training camp directly in the Emirates.
At the same time, Skitiwi has allowed players from Renaissance Berkane, Royal Army, and Wydad Casablanca to return to their clubs to continue preparing for African competitions, following their participation in a recent friendly match against the Egyptian national team, which Morocco won 2-0.
These preparations are part of a comprehensive plan to ensure the reserve team is ready in every technical and physical aspect and to enhance competition among players in advance of the Arab Cup, which the reserve national team will participate in as a true rehearsal before engaging in the largest regional tournaments.
